Hiring new pilots, mountain time (aka high DA) experience is worth much more than multi engine or ifr time. poor multi engine experience rarely results in anything too terrible. ifr time is black and white and easily learned. mountain time on the other hand is not black and white and a lack of experience will easily put you in a balled up heli. Our industry has it backwards when operators put twin engine and ifr time above mountain time! |
