FSI  

I was recruited to FSI back in 2012.  I really enjoyed my time there and found the work both fun and rewarding.  I also found them to be an excellent company to work for.  The pay and benefits were pretty good, even back then. 

The down side was your schedule.  I worked at a learning center that only had one helicopter FTD, so my schedule was actually pretty stable, with every weekend and holiday off.  The FW guys though were constantly pretty busy and worked all hours of the day and night.  If the simulator wasn't getting maintenance, someone was in it.  2 PM or 2 AM, it didn't matter.

I'd probably still be there, but FSI moved my FTD to Shreveport in a deal with Metro.  They wanted me to transfer to Lafayette and work there, then kind of TDY (if you will) to Shreveport when Metro wasn't using the FTD and do training there.  I declined.  Frankly, I had no desire to live in that part of the world, and had some very attractive options.  I did offer to transfer if FSI would put me in either the S-76 or S-92, but center manager declined to do that.  His loss!

All that said, like I said, if FSI had left the FTD where it was, I'd probably still be working there.
