D.O for new company?  

The real problem with the DO positions is that the people who have the position typically aren't capable managers.  Sure, the 119 Positions require the position holder to be qualified and current pilots.  The problem is the position doens't also require them to have the depth and breath of mangement experience or leadership qualities.  A certain "traditional operator" (as if that makes a difference) had a run of incompetent DOs.  Former cops are especially illsuited for the CP and DO roles becuase they lack the sophistication required to fully grasp issues.
