Pay/Work Schedule/Expectations as a Base Mechanic at AMC?  

Thanks for the input! Previously worked in the GOM and I have been in the HAA environment for 17 years with a different operator. I have managed to stay at the same program and the same base the entire time so I get the job functions and getting along with the pilots and using kid gloves with the med crew/customer. Like you I also make more than any of the GOM operators pay, The thing that has my attenion is the 14 & 14 schedule. I'd probably be willing to take a pay cut for more time off. We have a ton of varying schedules across the company I.E. 8 & 4, 10 & 5 and 20 & 10 with 24 hr call on all days on. These schedules suck and none are equal time off. With these schedules the majority of your days off wind up during the week and only a fraction of the time do your days of encompass the entire weekend. I've reached that point in life that time off is more important.
