a little investigation. Go back to 1970 to the present day and look at helicopter operator pilot annual salaries.

Notice what happens when unions hit the field.

Yes, unions don't sound worthwhile and far from what should be but if you look at the salary growth, or almost total lack thereof, you'll notice union value, and management 'mismanagement' of pilot compensation.

This will definitely be worth you effort.
