Hawk hit air intake. Was in Bravo. Told tower i had a bird strike and making precationary landing. Told the station the same thing. Landed in a field, went to idle. Got out and could see blood on the cowling. Everything looked good. Did hover checks. Everything felt fine. Flew about 6 miles back to the airport. Shutdown. Spent the next two hours washing bird guts out of the rotorhead/Starflex where it ended up after hitting the air intake cowling. |
