43 documented accidents and 53 fatalities in turbine engine powerline patrol in the past 38 years in the US alone. 40 of 53 fatalities were wirestrike accidents. Easy yes... sort of. I hope you had patrol training, as well as CRM training. It is hard to keep your guard up when the enviroment seems so harmless but if you let it down its deadly. |
