The per hour flight cost is ridiculous for a helicopter that was supposed to replace the Huey. A Lima went for around 7-10 mil when I was in the Army, then the new Mikes were going for 20-22 mil when the D model Apache at the time was supposedly a 24 mil helicopter. Ridiculous amount for not that much more of a helicopter. I always thought it was funny how Blackhawk pilots LOVE to ground taxi everywhere. At $2.5K/hr flight cost they'd rather ground taxi and waste precious minutes instead of just air taxiing to where they needed to go on the airfield.
