I work for a small Part 145 operation doing component mx and we start our guys at that. To be clear, we take guys we steal from factory work jobs in the area with zero experience in component mx and start them at that. If you have a repairman certificate or, in your case, years of experience, you could start somewhere between $55-$62K. Expect more than that if you have an A&P. Guys typically either love the schedule, comfy environment, etc and stay forever or move on to doing some form of backshop maintenance for the airlines where they'll make at least $100K.
