WAS a flying gernade NO matter what A/F it was in!! BK117, AS350D (Death Star) Bell B230,How many oil acidity 20hrs did you have to do?? Never made TBO. They installed a "Fly Cutter" to STOP the OS on the turbine! The gas seals Sucked which is why the oil became too acidic to support the bearings. Tech rep told Mx to soak Comp Blades W/WD40 to clean the build up! Lycoming really dropped the ball on that engine.!!! Honeywell did do it's diligent to clean it up, BUT has the previous damage been done??? Bottom line the LTS101 was a POS 💩 Eng. until Honeywell took over that program!! |
