Flew the 130 for a couple years and accumulated around 900 hours in it. I try to land into the wind whenever possible. I have hovered IGE and retained controllability with the EC 130 in up to 35kt crosswinds at up to 5000' DA. The fenestron has a bit of lag to its effectiveness, but it will catch up as long as you don't over control. If you take it slow you can do 360 pedal turns in 30kt winds with precision, above 30kts just keep the damn nose into the wind. |
