Can anyone explain the anti-Union sentiment?

Look at ALPA and other union jobs. I understand how a fixed wing 121 driver makes more than the Heli side due to economy of scale, but why does a truck driver, or heavy equipment operator or pipe fitter or plumber, etc etc make more? How can you make an argument against a union, especially when you consider the risk and BS required to get to this point? Especially with inflation and such.
