I flew Army and EMS over the past 20 years (so whether in cockpit with another dude/dudette or watching other pilots come to/from hospitals I never saw someone with sunglasses AND the smoke lens down. Now maybe there was one or two with prescription sunglasses that had the clear visor down for better eye bird protection but never the smoke over the sunglasses.
