I've seen several long time airline pilots posting on FB doing 18-20 hours of duty including dead head commutes. The commutes are 3-6 hours and then they go fly 11 hours directly after. Seems common to do this.

Supplemental cargo ops rules are different than passenger ops. Also there are different rules for 2 and 3+ pilot crews. US and international ops. It depends on the situation.
