Companies worldwide have had components made it China to reduce costs. In doing so they give China access to design and product secrets, which the Chinese the use to make their own products. This has been going on for a long time and the companies have brought this on themselves. If China has better products at a better price, governments should not subsidise their countries companies, Rather the companies need to modernize and get more competitive.

For EV's and Tesla is the only one of real concern because that's all they make as far as Auto's. Ford has already said  they are pulling way back on EV's. Not sure on Honda or Toyota's out look on that line.

You missed the point. Their assembly line was way more effective than Toyota's and Toyota set the industry standard YEARS ago. It's not just about EVs. This is not good news for ANY car manufacturer. Aviation could be next.
