Thats loss of tail rotor authority. It’s clearly at a high altitude location. The lack of understanding shown when folks get lazy and lump a couple of similar sounding issues into one subject. LTE….LTA. They are different. |

Was just to show the video that showed a 145 with loss of TR control.
Someone posted a while back that a 145 could never have a TR authority issue...
The Army had a solo set of students crash a perfectly good bird and some other USNG pilots killed themselves down near the border due to TR authority issue in the Lakota.
By all means, I'm sure they were all due to lack of pilot skill but to say "that would/could/should never happen in a 145" is just stupid. This video was to show that yes it does happen.

pilots don't know what LTE is. Very very VERY few conditions where LTE is not ultimately controllable with input. Too many pilots claiming LTE the cause of accidents when it's definitely not. ALMOST as many as claim SWP is the cause of nearly every accident |

This was in Bolivia a few years ago; a high altitude location; at least 5,000 ft MSL. Departing with the president and his staff. Helicopter was overloaded. LTE in this case is not technically correct. In my opinion, violation of the W-A-T limitations. |
