You guys never had any rescues like that? We normally used a Bell 47 w/ a doc, a medic, and nurse plus a photographer in the left side basket so he could get good photo's of me flying . We left the right side basket open for our three patients. |

I’d say my best, ridiculous helicopter scene was when the medic, without thinking, asked the patient, who was diabetic and a double leg amputee, if he was capable of standing so they could more easily move him to the stretcher. You probably just had to be there, and thank goodness the patient had a really good sense of humor, but THAT was the best most ridiculous helicopter scene. |
