LA boo boo???  

Is one you wke up in the hospital.  An actual failre is nothing like training.  It is all over before you can even think.  Training helps get the collective down sooner and adjust airspeed, but choice of landing spot isnt.  You have perhaps 15 seconds to save your life.

Mine happened at low altitude with virtually no airspeed our outs.  It was over so fast my passenger asked why we landed.  I asked do you hear an engine?  By luck,more than skill, mine didnt even bend a skid because there was a flat spot dead ahead.

Im sure the pilot did everythng he could. Rip.
