More stupid cop pilots  

I am in no way assigning blame, helicopter pilots are responsible for their rotor wash. The helicopter was hovering within a few feet of the active runway. The CFI giving instruction in the helicopter, has only held the rating for less than two year, the student in the helicopter was an ATP fixed wing, adding on his rotor rating. The Cessna pilot was a flight instructor, he should have been aware of the danger of helicopter rotor wash. I personally believe there is not enough emphasis in training, both in helicopter and fixed wing. I hope this tragic accident brings about additional awareness training.
