tell us you don't currently work in the biz...without telling us you don't currently work in the biz. 

my company (one of those mentioned) hasn't had real "float pilots" in years. instead of covering vacations and sick days, those pilots are semi-permanently assigned to bases that can't fill pilot slots. and there are many. bases with zero assigned pilots, holes in the schedule, bases out of service. you want a vacation day, you need to find some other base pilot to cover for you on overtime because there sure aren't any floats available. call in sick...base out of service. so yeah, it might behoove the company to try to retain a few pilots instead of running them off over something silly like that.

now, don't you feel stupid? and you should. why'd you feel the need to chime in about something you obviously know nothing about. you don't know crap.
