It has nothing to do about being insecure lmao. It's the equivalent of a company mandating you to have a certain haircut or hairstyle. If you're in the military you signed up for it, but as a civilian, I did not.

You sound like a boomer though, so you probably can't relate since you went bald 20 years ago and don't have any hair left to style.
