A place I worked had a LOA to fly under four bridges since it was safer for them to do that than trying to climb over them just to reposition the helicopter less than a mile for fuel. There was an aviation author that flew under a really tall bridge somewhere in Ohio a few years ago and got an emergency revocation for careless and reckless (among other violations)......but that was in an airplane. |
