It all looks rosey, until the crap hits the fan.  When it’s time for a reduction in force, (Management is exempt, of course) It’s time for a reduction in the highest paid pilots. And you can forget about loyalty if you’ve managed to work yourself into the upper end of the pay scale.  Think of yourself as temporary and expendable and you’ll never be disappointed. You’re just one paycheck away from unemployment.
