We are aware of the open shifts, it's devastating to the KPI. It seems that management is still trying to come up with a different answer to the 30 year question. Actively pursuing pilots means you must pay better than the other operators. The hiring pool is the other companies: no-longer the Army. I've been here 15 years and go to Denver once a year for my flight review. I know a handful of pilots that have gone to other companies for better pay. But, mainly because they don't want to be messed with the "check ride" flight review. Also, we aren't going to get anyone to add the 130 qual. No-one wants to be jacked around on the flight review once, let alone twice.
