So MTC has been very good for me and our base, the stepped payroll went away in July 2022.  Pay wasn't the greatest when I started but with my luck things turned around just after I was hired.

April 2019 6.5% Raise

August 2019 For 5 states in the US they changed from 84hrs of straight pay with anything over being OT to anything over 40hrs in a work week we get OT.  Changed those bases to Thursday day 1, MTC work week in the payroll is Monday-Sunday. You end up with Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday -48 hrs, 40 straight, 8 OT. Clock resets, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday-36 hrs straight. It's nice having 8hrs OT in each paycheck.

Each August we got a 3% raise.

July 2022 14.1% market pay adjustment along with changing of how your pay was calculated.  That 14% was an 11.1% adjustment in base pay, then the usual annual 3% at same time.  Geo modifiers were originally a dollar amount broken out over 26 pay periods. It was not part of the calculations for your hourly rate, nor were any stipends from being a BAM or anything else.

They now changed geomods to a percentage based system and matched them to get closest to the original dollar amount.  They now rolled base pay plus everything else to come up with your annual pay, divided through by 2184hrs to come up with your hourly rate.  This was huge for bases with big modifiers as now your straight and OT rates reflect that total pay.

This was also where were introduced to our retention bonus, we got $5000 right away to kick things off and then the 3 year clock started in Jan 2023, come Jan 2026 we are looking at a $40,000 bonus. Then the clock starts again and looking at $50,000 come Jan 2029.

There was a slight change in our usual 3% raise in 2023-2024, we got our July 2023 3%, but then in March 2024 they gave a 2.5%, it actually ended up with more money because it was only 8 months later we got 2.5% vs waiting 12 months for 3%. That reset our annual month but this March 2025 we got our 3% back so no issues.

I started at 97k with my modifier back in 2019 but am up to $136k without any extra shifts or the normal extra time from sim training, meetings etc.  End up around 185k with minimal extra OT.
