Yeah, I flew EMS for 2 years. 1 year commuting away from the family and one where the family was a 40 min commute from the base.

The wife said she almost preferred the geo-bach option as even though I was "home every night" the 2nd year it didn't really feel like it... not enough time to really engage with the fam. Especially when if had a late flight.

That's crazy money for less work and stress. Wouldn't have to barely get by for so many years in comparison. How many years you been at the airlines?
