In the picture, the tail rotor and gearbox are clearly gone. This must’ve been a nightmare for the CG the fact that it is sitting on the ground on somebody’s driveway with as little damage as it shows is a miracle. I would really like to hear how the Pilot managed the aircraft to get it on the ground. A few years ago a AW 139 lost the tailrotor, gearbox in Hong Kong and was able to get it on to the water safely. Pilot stated that he entered autorotation immediately, and that was the difference between success and failure.
