So what you're saying is that you did not learn how to save money way back then.... you spent a lot of money on something and now blame inflation as the reason your broke while making 135k?  

 I too made less money flying back then... and am making slightly more than 135k now.. but after meeting the right people and saving money I live a fairly comfortable life...  no Rolex though.
