We start at about $120K a year. Bumps up to $185 once you hit year two and skyrockets from there. That’s not accounting for any premium, rigs, sit-time, or profit-sharing. That’s also not accounting for the 17-18% direct contribution to your 401K (the company directly deposits an amount equivalent to 17% of what you made that month into your 401K. That isn’t taken out of your pay… it’s on top of it). If you’re happy in HEMS, that’s great. There’s nothing wrong with it, and there are ALOT worse jobs out there than HEMS - especially if you live local to your base. But there’s also alot better. Don’t sell yourself short if you want to try something different. You can ALWAYS come back to HEMS (assuming you don’t burn the bridge down on your way out). Arguing about which HEMS company pays better or treats their pilots better is like arguing that Burger King makes a better hamburger than McDonald’s. Whoppers and Quarter Pounders BOTH his the spot, but neither of them compare to a steak from Del Frisco’s. |
