It seems you will make more at AMC as a float if you can match MTC's base pay. AMC pays more than MTC in most cases. AMC pays OT after 40 hours in a week, MTC after 84. AMC pays 1.5 for travel to/from work, MTC straight time. AMC pays $500 for an extra shift, MTC $300. There will be a huge exodus of float pilots from MTC in the future after the bonus is paid out. It's hard to believe the lies MTC has told float pilot over the last year about being 'Salary Exempt' or 'Salary Non-Exempt'. It seems MTC changes a float pilots status on a daily basis depending on what works best for them. Despite what MTC float pilot offer letters say, their status has being changed to avoid paying them the same as line pilots. It's a pity that lawyers are needed to fix this. Maybe MTC needs a union? |
