Manhattan will always be a repository for a stay of wealth for international investors/Billionaires. Trying to shield their assetts from unstable countries / economies the US is likely the only nation who will never arbitrarily cease your assetts.  Hence Manhattans Skyline with towering buildings filled with empty multi million dollar Condos/co ops  …. That said when you walk the streets of that same Borough it’s still a scene from Back Hawk Down ……
