A friend of mine in high school told an employer that he had 700 hours of King-Air time.
When he went to fly the line, he apparently didn't fly like a 700 hour pilot.
They investigated and found that he pencil*whipped all the hours in his logbook.
The FAA revoked his licenses -- All of them
This was north of 20-25 years ago.
