Key word, “sometimes”.  We have a great military capable of great things, we just need to have the right people calling the shots. With the advanced electronic capabilities we have today and the brain power we have to use them, why does it take 2 days to “locate” a downed pilot? Hell, I could have given each of them an Apple Air Tag and found them in 20 minutes.
