for certain issues the law is followed and a vote is held for the member, or private citizen, as applicable. That's how this works. I can tell yoh have no knowledge it understanding of how these organizations operate or this concept so I will defer to the other poster who said it's part of the agreement when you join the union. Dont like it, leave. don't like the representatives, run for office yourself. Pretty simple, really.
