Back in the 80's my Mom and Dad worked double shifts and weekend jobs to make sure my college room, board and tuition was payed for. I was the first in my family to graduate college, and with a BS in Aerospace Engineering.  I also worked part-time jobs and washed aircraft at my local airport in exchange for PPL flight time training.  What is going on these days?  A loan is a loan regardless if its a mortgage, car, boat...and you are responsible to pay it back!
