Original Message My uncle was a machinist on the project. It was very carpentalzied. Each team member was handed a specific build plan, which by itself, meant nothing to the fabricator. Though there were friendships and they understood they were working on a weapon, no one new who might be a mole so it was in their best interest to leave your 'work' in the shop/lab. Side story, he met his future wife there and made their home in Los Alamos where he worked at the nuclear facility till his retirement. |
