I trend I've noticed is that region is hiring more and more central and south American (primarily Colombian) pilots. Cheaper salary but still just as good (or better) skill. We've trained the Colombian, Ecuadorian, and Mexican military pilots for many years (only stopped training them in the last 10 years now that they have their own flight schools set up). Pretty sure it's for socialization after hours because you all live together over there on the same base (separate from any Saudis).
