A little over 10 years ago AMC hired me on for around 60k? Now I believe the starting pay over there is now $86k minimum plus a $15k hiring bonus? (I left AMC after a year)

Other changes since then: 10 years ago NVG's were still being rolled out to every base, now they're ubiquitous with the real high achievers getting the white phophorus ones.

HeliSAS on VFR singles was rare, now it's not so much. With that CFIT has been declining. Popping into the clouds isn't quite the death sentence it once was.

Crash resistant fuel tanks and ADS-B on just about everything. (Does anyone not have them?)

Might be company specific, but sim training in level D sims is more of a thing vs controls and a screen in a trailer. Trips to flight safety or an equivalent are to be expected.

This might be more company specific too, but it seems to me like 10 years ago it was more common to have high time employees in the more desireable bases. Now we seem to turn crews over after 3-5 years, med crew especially.

The flying is the same. They call, we haul, the crew complains.
