I would be more afraid of the flag flying up into the rotors !  Have the presenters stand at the ready on the outer edge or the rotor disc.  The 45 Degree angle away from the helicopter would put the blank projectiles outside of the rotor disc.  If your not trolling you have a very fertile imagination !!
