The job isn't bad, but it isn't easy either.

As a rover, you will get a rental car (van/truck) for an entire month or longer.   Gas and expenses are on the company credit card, which get paid as you submit expense reports (no money out of your pocket).   Hours vary daily.   Some are long, others are nothing.   Your on an on-call work schedule for a "hitch" of about 7 or 14 days, with a 7 day OFF afterwards.   You track your time by a time card, anything under the "salary" is paid, anything over the "salary" is paid as overtime.   Being a  helicopter operation, you can be called to some remote locations to fix stuff, but that's what helicotpers are known for (it's not often that happens, btw).  Pay and Benefits are good overall, family medical/dental, 401k, vacation, sick time, STD/LTD insturance, and some other off-the-wall benefits.   If you travel by air/hotel, you get to keep the loyalty points for yourself.  AMC is a closly watched air carrier, so FAA keeps things standard across the board.  

AMC is a big operation, so there is lots of opportunity to move about internally.
