F35 Lost   How does this happen

Please call in if you find it

Authorities have asked for help from the public in order to locate the $100million military aircraft which was flying over South Carolina when the Marine pilot made his swift exit. It is now feared the jet could still be flying as there is no evidence that it has crashed as of yet, and the pilot set an automated flight system before ejecting.

The Joint Base Charleston said in a post on X - formerly known as Twitter: "We’re working with @MCASBeaufortSC to locate an F-35 that was involved in a mishap this afternoon. The pilot ejected safely. If you have any information that may help our recovery teams locate the F-35, please call the Base Defense Operations Center at 843-963-3600."
