There are at least 2 gross weight limitations that apply to helicopters. Structural, and atmospheric. Structural is an absolute limit. It may be reduced by temperature, wind( anti torque tail rotor aircraft), altitude, humidity, atmospheric pressure etc. Sometimes referrred to as WAT.
