For me it is. My training cost about $65K back in the 90's. I've had a really rewarding career and could retire any day but enjoy it so much I just keep going. Salary has averaged about 120K over the last 10 years with a little OT. The airlines wouldn't work for me, especially been stuck in the cockpit with another pilot for hours at a time. I tried fixed wing briefly but I enjoy single pilot helicopter stuff more. Good luck with your future.
