The shade were closed then it wouldn't matter. If It had a cabin door, and they couldn't see up front. And they simply were just not keeping track of time or didn't notice. They may just have been oblivious to their fate. If the F16 pilots saw no frosted windows, got close enough to see the pilot was slumped over to the RIGHT even, then they had clear view and this was not a pressure issue.
