Looks like REACH has decided to finally start paying their "valued" hourly (non-exempt) clinicial & aviation team members under CA laws, which includes daily OT.  Seems this was driven by a class settlement entered into by the company and current and former REACH employees vs. doing the right, legal and ethical thing in the first place.  Sounds much like what Air Methods went through in CA when the clinical teammates also sued as a class for the same issues.  Only difference, REACH decided to adjust the hourly rate of pay for the clinicans to account for increase in pay becuase of the daily OT earnings.  And, REACH will limit clinical on-call shifts to 4 hours in the morning and pay that at minimum wage.  Sure these are changes that can help the company curb the cost of paying their employees according to the law, but hardly shows the "value" REACH places on their team mates.  Nice work by the flight line to ensure that you are being paid correctly!
