Message If the trigger were the arterial ine you would because it is zero referenced to atmospheric pressure, but if the pressure was flucuating you would switch to an ecg trigger. What trumps all that is all ballon pumps now have a built in fiberoptic trigger on the balloon catheter that doesnt depend on either and still have ecg as a back up trigger but you will never need it because they just doent fail. Medic knows just enough to be dangerous.
