Reading this makes me thankful that I don't have med crew like that at my base. I feel for ya. That would be incredibly frustrating. Maybe you can remind him of the sterile cockpit policy and tell him his comments are a distraction to you. I've never had a crew member complain like that while using a balloon pump and changing altitudes.
