Message The small things do make a difference. $100 a year for boots, a new or reconditioned helmet on new hire with the ability to have it serviced every couple of years and a jacket and gloves.
MTC does give a helmet but it is usually a 1980 recycled model with 10 year of sweat and crap from the previous owner and lately the Nomex jackets are a nice touch.
Metro provides boots and allows you to purchase a helmet at 50% off, and pay the balance on payroll deduction over 12 months. Hospital is required to provide jacket.
AMC provides both and boots, the helmet is a decent gentex re-conditioned model that looks like new. The jackets are basic polyester crap.
