When I was new at it, our CP and DO always preached that while seven minutes was a laudable goal, please don't rush to the point of being unsafe to achieve it. They even went so far as to tell guys new to HAA that if it took them 20 minutes to lift for their first few months not to sweat it. My average lift times after accepting were generally in the neighborhood of 10 - 12 mins. And that was moving with a sense of urgency (though not rushing).
