Message They orignally were planning on sending the H145's they had down to Airbus to get the conversion done from 4 to 5 blades so maybe they have decided on a fleet upgrade instead. They currently have (4) H145's (BK117 D2) and (1) EC145 (BK117C2). Thats operated over 4 bases so they have 1 spare. Their plan was to purchase 2 more (D3's) and upgrade their D2's to D3's for a total of 6 aircraft. Still keeping 4 bases, so 1 is a spare for mx as 1 is always down and 1 extra so they can do training since they never have a spare aircraft for that. Maybe the article is in error as I dont believe they are order 6 brand new D3's. They have one currently being built that shows up April 2023 and another one after that.
